Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Niko Kranjčar has expressed his frustrations at being unable to cement a starting place in Oleg Blokhin’s side since joining the club from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer. The Croatian international has urged his coach to give him more opportunities, but remains committed to fighting for his place in the team.
‘I really do not know why I am not getting more playing time. It depends on the coach, who gives me time on the pitch after about 60 minutes. It’s his decision, because it is he who is responsible for the result. Naturally, I want to play more, because it’s my job, and I will fight to change things for the better. I came to Kyiv to play football, and I think I picked a good club, who is playing in the Champions League. I hope to gain more confidence and play more.’
